Marching Band
"Marching band isn't a sport!"
Oh, I beg to differ.
What makes Marching Band so different?
Some say it doesn't match the definition of sports.
Really?
Well let's see what the definition is.
Sports: An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of
rules or customs and often undertaken competitively. An active pastime;
recreation.
So... the way I see it,
marching band is no different from a sport
The Marching band uses maybe
twice the physical exertion then a lot of other sports.
Sure football players get tackled while running up and down the field;

1. *You walk in step with people around you in the halls
2. *You find yourself humming the music during a different class
3. You can name the first marching band music you played
4. *All or most of your friends are in band
5. *When you’re listening to any other music you tap your foot in time or walk in time with it
6. Your uniform is your favorite outfit (kinda for me)
7. When naming off all of your friends you realize that they all are in some sort of music class

Ok, now time to be serious. I wrote this during my senior or Junior year of high school. I was in the color guard so if my laws seem a little biased towards them, that's the reason.
I wrote these laws on my own getting a little inspiration here and there such as a sign in the band room that said "Don't feed the Sousaphones"
As my few watchers will know, this has long been proudly displayed in my journal, but I think it's time to make a new Journal entry. I'm afraid of this disappearing though so I thought I'd make a deviation out of it. CHEERS!
One request. If you have any idea where this deviation properly belongs, please tell me! I'm having a very difficult time placing it!

Sousaphones will rest their instrument as soon as possible. 30 pounds of brass on one shoulder isn't comfortable. It's a terribly painful thing early on.
